about

Angel of the Underground is a special song for certain people, including Sarah Corner. It was written in January 2002 after a night out with friends, when I met a strange girl whom I deeply connected with for the few hours we shared. It felt magical, and I never forgot her. We never exchanged phone numbers, but I wrote the song for her and played it at a community festival to around 1000 people who all sang along. This demo of the song is the only version ever recorded (February 2002), however it captures the authenticity and emotion of the time.
